Though the Musical Fidelity Tempest may not be the most neutral or uncoloured amp around but it is extremely musical especially with pop and rock music. It's dynamic punch and rhythm makes the music quite lively and enjoyable. Match it to a pair of midprice standmount loudspeakers of medium sensitivity of say 88dB and above and you will have a pretty decent sounding system for music system.
