As audiophiles , we all know that any form of equipment support be it cone spikes, proprietary suspension methodology or even man made exotic materials will attenuate the sound and hence change the landscape of the system. More often than not these changes will vary from good to excellent but there will always be trade offs. The biggest being is the tonal character in the midrange and high frequencies. Majority of these platforms exhibit excellent bass extension, tightening the bottom end while clearing up any unwanted smearing of the midband; in particular the upper & lower mids. Extension towards the highs also improves and the sound stage widen & deepens.

Despite all the good attributes...they all share the same trade offs...the all sound lean & mechanical in approach. Prolong listening will confirm this as you start to meddle to make changes by upgrading your power cords, interconnects, speaker cables etc just to accommodate the new changes to the sound.

The Vibraire VB1 adopts a different approach. Our platform extends the lower end with fuller bass while always remaining in absolute control with no bloating or over hang. The reason for this approach is crucial in maintaining timbre accuracy as our ears tend to pick up deficencies in the mids & highs. Tonal decay is never exaggerated.

There is ample of air & spaciousness around & beyond the vocals & instruments.

There is also evident of lower distortion. Any previous bad recordings that was hard and shrill to the ears now becomes listenable. Sure...it is still a bad recording nevertheless but the digital glare is brought down to a level where you can start to enjoy your favorite kind of music which was previously unlistenable.
